Expanding Our Inuit-Owned Partnerships Across Nunavut

Impact Benefit Agreements (IBAs) and Inuit Impact Benefit Agreements (IIBAs) play a foundational role in resource management, particularly in mining. We support our clients by establishing partnerships with Indigenous communities who are impacted by mining. Our first partnership, Qajaq Northern Builders Inc., established in 2020, provides staffing support to mines in the Qikiqtani-region of Nunavut. In addition to providing over 30,000 hours of employment to Inuit on Baffin Island our Inuit employees and partners have received distributions of over $2,000,000 - money that stays in the communities. We are excited to develop our two latest partnerships, Bullitt Kitikmeot Inc. and Bullitt Kivalliq Ltd. Similar to Qajaq Northern, all partnerships are registered with Nunavut Tunngavik Incorporated (NTI) as Inuit-owned with a mandate to support the local communities where our clients operate.
